The Seattle Live Music Scene: Best Open Mic Night

April 23, 2014

What better way to show off your talents by voice and instrument than to take the stage during an open mic night? We may be biased, but we’re pretty sure that in the Seattle live music scene we have the best open mic night around.

Paragon plays host to live music events five nights per week, and our open mic night on Tuesday nights is one of the most fun – there’s plenty of variety, and we have a great time! Join us for ‘You Play Tuesday’ every Tuesday night from 9-ish until 2-ish for our weekly open mic night on Queen Anne.

So what makes the best open mic night in the Seattle live music scene? Here’s our take…

It’s number-one for lots of things, and open mic nights are no exception. You need a place with enough room to comfortably enjoy the music, but small enough so that everyone can hear and see your skills on the stage – no matter where they’re sitting. Free parking and proximity to metro bus stops is a perk, too. Paragon has all of the above.

An open mic night is not complete without good food, wine, beer, and cocktails to help you enjoy the evening. Our dinner menu is available nightly until 11 p.m., so that open mic musicians can enjoy a bite or two before they hop up on stage, and non-performing guests can satisfy their cravings. Of course, libations are available until closing time.

Our awesome host, Levi Said, is here each week to introduce our new artists and guide you through the evening. He’s been hosting open mic nights at Paragon for a while now, and the crowd thinks he’s pretty cool (we do, too).

If you want to show off your musical talents at our next open mic night, get here early to get your name on the list. Sign ups open at 8 p.m., and we’ll open up the stage starting around 9 p.m.
