THE FIASCO

March 3 @ 9:30 pm

The Fiasco

The Fiasco is a mini Rock / R&B / Soul show.  An extremely powerful 3 piece with serious soul power.  Come to the party, you’ll be glad you did.

THE FIASCO HAPPENED BY ACCIDENT. NO REHEARSAL.  NO DISCUSSION.  ROBERT STEWART WAS DOING A WEEKLY GIG AT THE PARAGON IN SEATTLE, PLAYING HIS SONGS AND THROWING IN OLD SOUL COVERS.  CAMERON WILLIAMS CAME BY ONE NIGHT WITH A  DJEMBE DRUM AND STARTED PLAYING LIKE HE HAD ALWAYS BEEN THERE.  A FEW MONTHS LATER, KEITH WRIGHT APPEARED WITH AN ACOUSTIC GUITAR AND A BUNCH OF PEDALS AND HE, TOO, SEAMLESSLY JOINED THE FRAY….

Robert Stewart is a singer, songwriter and for-hire musician based out of Seattle… he performs solo and with various bands throughout the United States and Canada. He has been the front-man for Seattle group, The Fiasco since its founding in 2002.  http://www.reverbnation.com/robertstewartseattle

Keith Wright:    I started playing guitar seriously at age 10. My earliest influences were Queen, Bowie, Led Zeppelin, and The Beatles. My influences have since changed as I’ve grown as a musician to include all aspects of the musical prism.

I have a little boy named Gibson. (yes, Gibson IS named after the guitar) Being a parent has allowed me the opportunity to see just how important the time is that we spend sharing knowledge with love and accuracy.

Ive been in over 30 bands and projects from small indie projects to Brandi Carlile to FIASCO. I have been on over 70 recordings and currently have a student compliment of over 20. I have also done a wealth of studio session work for the likes of The Discovery Channel, Rick Parashar, Scott Humphrey, and many more. This has become a proving ground for most professional musicians.
I am currently in the band FIASCO and have enjoyed a healthy success with them over the last 9 years. We are an acoustic-driven rock/soul trio that has 6 CDs and continue to play over 100 shows annually. I have also been in the band POINT ONE since 2004. We have recorded 2 full-length albums and have toured nationally with the likes of SEVENDUST, WHITESNAKE, QUEENSRYCHE, VAST, WARPED TOUR, and have appreciated support from many radio and tv stations. Seattle’s own KISW has helped us tremendously through the years. POINT ONE has been exposed to the front lines of the music industry.

First and foremost, I am an instructor. This is what I love to do most

I am very much a music crusader. I believe there is a large hole in American education today where music once stood. Today, music education is a side-note that doesn’t reap the proper funding or attention that it so clearly deserves. I have witnessed music teachers that seem to be happy taking money from learners and not fulfilling their obligation to help people UNDERSTAND and KNOW music. This is the primary reason why i teach. The bottom line for me is that if you participate in music, in ANY way, you will become a better listener, Reader, communicator, cook, debater, thinker, etc… Music should also be de-programmed as something that is hard to do.

I believe anybody can play a guitar, and I intend to prove it -nuff said
